Enhancing Students' Quality of Life

Founded by Arnulfo Casillas and other comrades in 1969, El Centro UCSB was established in order to provide members of the greater Santa Barbara community a chance to take part in a number of recreational activities. With great social activities for all people of color/queer/trans communities, private gatherings and educational programs — our center has become the hub of cultural enlightenment.

Whether you’re looking for recreational activities, political organizing, or cultural programs , our center has something for everyone to enjoy. Over the years, it’s become a crucial part of life for people in the community and continues to be an integral part today.
